After trying quite a few types of software (freeware, trial versions, etc.) I landed on Wondershare Filmora9 that suits my needs.
In the beginning, I was almost a bit annoyed by its simplicity, but I actually started appreciating much more in a short time. It allows to record the whole screen or just part of it; then I can use its video editing capabilities to quickly adjust or modify the video.
For example, in one of the last videos, I wanted to cover different parts of the image in different moments; I could do that pretty easily.
I consult about productivity and top performance, so having a tool that allows me to be effective is fundamental!
In the end, I bought the license which is also a very affordable price.

This is the software I started with as a beginner. Reason being, it was extremely user friendly and cheap. Considering I was making zero budget videos, this was the right tool to start with as it has built in effects/filters and a collection of royalty free sound effects that I could incorporate with my own recorded media files. There is a free version available that comes with all the features as in the paid version, except there is going to be a brand watermark, which personally, I did not mind.

As I got the hang of video editing and its basics, I moved onto Adobe Premiere Pro. It is a little expensive, however, It is a very powerful tool and can handle a large number of video tracks which can be imported from multiple sources. But what really makes it stand out is the automatic sync feature. This feature comes in handy when you have a video with multiple angle shots helping you focus on the intricate details and standing out from other content creators.
