Just from the name itself, you can tell that this program is worth it. The 5-second test allows you to determine how well customers see a certain webpage’s content within the first 5 seconds. It’s a good tool to test if your website delivers the message that it was supposed to do.
Not all of us are web design experts and small businesses may not have the budget to hire a web designer in the first place. When I was starting out, I used Leadpages to create my first landing page. It’s an amazing tool for beginners since it offers numerous templates you can work with and all you have to do is drag and drop the design.

I started with Leadpages, which has been around for a while as a pure landing page tool. They recently launched a website tool. I ended up switching away from Leadpages because the Editor frustrated me.
Leadpages Editor (1 out of 3): Not so great. Good enough for basic landing pages, but doesn’t handle complicated layouts, video, or text smoothly. Their solution to layout problems is to create different versions for mobile vs. computer, which leads to me forgetting to update things in two places—and was the reason I stopped using them.
Leadpages Features (2 out of 3): They have enough integrations that you’ll probably be able to do whatever you need by connecting a third-party.
Leadpages Cost (2 out of 3): Middle-of-the-road.
I tried Webflow, which was by far the best design tool.
Webflow Editor (3 out of 3): Amazing! Allows you complete control over and gracefully allows you to handle responsive design for mobile vs. computer. The flip side is there are so many controls that it can confuse non-designers.
Webflow Features (1 out of 3): They have eCommerce and a few integrations, but the least features of the three landing page builder tools that I tried.
Webflow Cost (1 out of 3): Seemed expensive and complicated. I couldn’t even figure out which plan—or combination of plans—I needed to purchase.
Wix has the best combo of editor, features, and cost
Wix Editor (2 out of 3): The Wix editor does many things well, including letting you place text, images, and videos anywhere on the page. They don’t handle tablet layouts, although it turns out none of my web visitors are using tablets—who knew?
Wix Features (3 out of 3): Wix wins with their integrations. They have a ton of functionality they provide plus much more that can be linked in from third parties.
Wix Cost (3 out of 3): Wix turned out to have the best pricing because they offered 50% off for the first year + a larger discount for prepaying multiple years.
Leadpages is the cheapest platform we’ve looked at so far and it offers more in terms of features at every price point. There are 165+ free templates to work with and the Leadpage drag-and-drop builder is probably my favorite of the bunch.
As their name suggests, ClickFunnels is all about creating sales funnels. Rather than one simple landing page, ClickFunnels create sales funnels that convert visitors into leads (first) and then customers. They give you the tools and strategies that you need for these sales funnels in one spot.
As the name suggests, Instapage is all about speed. You can have landing pages live in a matter of minutes by choosing from more than 100 templates. Also, it does come with A/B testing functionality and real-time analytics.
The two landing page builders I recommend are Instapage and LeadPages.
Each of these has their own recommendations and benefits. Instapage integrates very nicely and easily with the ever popular WordPress. This allows most of our clients to set up Instapage with ease. It allows easy integrations with Google Analytics and goals setup, much easier than Lead Pages.
Lead pages are more aesthetically easy but have limitations with integrations with Google Analytics and other tracking tools. Given that most people use Landing pages to track marketing campaigns, this has proven more difficult to work with than Instapage in this regard.
The best tool we have in our lead generation arsenal is something called Leadpages. It helps us create landing pages without needing to worry about coding or integrating anything. It hooks up automatically to our mailing list provider and works well with WordPress.

Another top-notch software is JumpLead. It’s killer at lead generation as well as follow-up software. Jumplead has a great set of options including dynamic lead generation forms, landing pages, and overlays triggered by intent. This software also allows you to break your leads up into categories for better tracking.
If you are just getting started and want to minimize your costs, LeadPages is a good option. It’s the cheapest platform we’ve used and offers more than some other platforms at a fraction of the cost.
